FSP was founded in 1998 with the goal of providing high-quality, affordable invention protection services in the Northwest United States. We have served some of the largest and most dynamic businesses in the Northwest. In addition, we continue to service a large roster of smaller businesses, including startups.

We have grown considerably over the last eleven years, and our services have expanded to include licensing, patent sales, infringement analysis, opinion letters, litigation support, trademarks, and general corporate legal service (e.g. Outside General Counsel).

Our technical skill set has historically been in digital and analog circuits, software of all kinds, e-commerce, medical and military imaging systems, Internet technologies, semiconductor fabrication, mechanical and hydraulic systems, engines, physics, and optics, to name just a few. We have recently added the services of a biotechnical specialist.

The reach of our services has grown from the Northwest to nationwide, and now international, with clients in Italy, the Netherlands, Canada, China, and elsewhere. Despite our growth, we remain true to our roots and offer free consultations to any client, large or small, on any matter within our practice areas.
